Charles Mensah has over 20years experience implementing management and financial systems for Companies in Ghana and UK. He is a product of the University of Derby (UK) and holds an MBA from Manchester business school (UK).

Charles has recently completed an Executive programme with Harvard University (USA) on “Driving Government Performance” and an ACCPAC Certified Consultant. Charles has had extensive experience in the natural resources industry in Ghana where he has delivered a number of lectures on Organisational and Project management techniques.

Charles is the managing Partner / CEO at Trust Consult Limited in Ghana. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) UK and a member of ICA (GH).

Lawrence Omari – Mensah

Chief Executive Officer

Lawrence Omari-Mensah brings about 15 years of mining industry experience in addition to petroleum geosciences and sales management & marketing. Lawrence has worked on a number of projects around the world and his experience encompasses mineral exploration, mineral resources estimation, mining operations (surface and underground) and academic research.

Prior to his current appointment, Lawrence was a Senior geologist / safety committee chairman of Ampella mining ltd’s Burkina Faso operations. Lawrence has workedin a wide range of geological terrains and has held senior roles for major mining and exploration companies including Gold Fields Limited, Liberty International Minerals Corporation and Coffey mining West Africa Limited. He was the Ghana office Manager and Sales/Technical Consultant for SurpacMinex Africa Pty Ltd (Gemcom Africa) where he was the first black African technical consultant employed by the Surpac group.

He has a vast and solid experience in building 3D solid geological models, in several mining packages including Minesight, Surpac, Micromine in addition to modeling expertly in petroleum software that includes Petrel and SMT Kingdom. He has been involved in the discovery and feasibility studies of several gold deposits in Ghana, Liberia, Guinea and Burkina Faso. Lawrence has also been involved in the provision of professional development initiatives for both engineers and other supporting services at every stage of his career.

Mr Omari-Mensah completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mines and Technology in Ghana where he studied Geological Engineering. He has an MSc degree in Applied Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Derby in the UK and has attended a number of industry related programs including the ore-deposit geochemistry and geochronology course at CODES – University of Tasmania in Australia.

Lawrence is a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.

Philip Nyarko is a Senior Mining Engineer with 13 years of experience in engineering, rock mechanics, design and planning, and production at underground operations in Ghana. He has eight years experience relating to underground mine development scheduling and operations, security and equipment control. His expertise is in the application of safe mining methods to underground mines for stope optimization designs, underground development optimization, ground stabilization, business process optimization and production scheduling.  Philip has worked and practiced in major mines in Ghana including Anglogold Ashanti Bibiani ltd and Anglogold Ashanti Obuasi mines in various capacities from Technical mining assistant rising through the ranks to Shift Boss and Mine captain. He is currently a Mine captain at the Kinross – Chirano mines in Ghana with major responsibilities in Contracts, production management and underground operations project implementation.

Philip completed his undergraduate education at the University of Mines and technology with a diploma in mining engineering and also has a post graduate diploma in Strategic management and human resource, administration and leadership, operations management, project planning, managerial finance from the Ghana institute of management and public administration - GIMPA. He also has a Blasting competency certificate, Shift boss certificate, and mine captain certificate of competency awarded by the chief inspector of mines, Ghana.

Mr Ofosu Bernard is a Geological Engineer /GIS Specialist with 15 years’ experience in ground geotechnical investigations. He has consulted for and undertaken numerous geotechnical projects for various producing mining firms in and out Ghana.

His expertise and experience involves conducting Subsoil Investigations for Mine Infrastructural Development, Tailings dams, buildings etc; Geotechnical Evaluation of Soil and Rock Materials for Road Construction and Building Foundations. He has also been involved in Pre-mining Structural Survey in Mining Communities as well as Blasting Impact Assessments, Mine Pit Slope Stability Analysis, Ground Improvements and Environmental Impact Assessments and has also played a number of consulting roles for various Mining and Civil engineering companies in Ghana.

Mr Ofosu has a Master’s degree in GIS and Remote Sensing applications from Greenwich University in London, UK. A product of the University of Mines and Technology in Ghana where he studied Geological Engineering, Mr Ofosu is currently a Research Scientist at the Geotechnical Engineering Division of Building and Road Research Institute (BRRI) in Kumasi, Ghana.

Felix Thompson

Director – Exploration and Project Management

Mr Thompson is an experienced geologist with about 19 years’ experience in the mining industry. He has worked in several exploration/mining companies in Ghana with roles including grade control and senior geologist. His recent role included senior supervising geologist at Goldfields Exploration West Africa ltd where he worked in Burkina Faso and Guinea prospects. He has also occupied a senior supervising geologist position at Sun Gold Resources ltd at the Ayanfuri Mine exploration projects.

He has been involved in the discovery and feasibility studies of several gold deposits across Ghana including the more recent Goldfields Ghana ltd.’s Mampehia deposit and the Perseus Mining Ghana limited’sAyanfuri deposit.

Felix Thompson has trained and mentored many junior geologists in Ghana as well as Guinea and Burkina Faso; has also undertaken various health and safety programs in addition to project and financial control management courses.

Prior to joining K-3 Resources as a Principal consultant in December 2013,Mr Thompson was the Project Manager of Perseus Mining Ghana ltd from May 2012 to November 2013 after a Senior supervising Mine-Geologist role from 2011-2012.

He holds a Master’s degree in Geological engineering from the University of Mines and technology in Tarkwa, Ghana where he completed his undergraduate studies in geological engineering.

Balguissa has been working for K-3 Resources since 2014 as the administrator of our Burkina Faso operations.

She is an accountant with about 10 years experience and she is a key member of our business development team in Burkina Faso.

Balguissa has held positions as the Chief accountant/account manager for 8 years in the mining industry in Burkina Faso working with mining support firms. Her last role had included accounting and administrative management for HGS Burkina Sarl following an account manager role at Group five Burkina Faso.

She is experienced in team management, reconciliation of operations and coordination of field crews, expat relations and government negotiations.

Balguissa has a Baccalaureate in accounting from the University of Ouagadougou and also has Professional Mastersin accountancy controls and Audit at the higher institute of Data Processing and Management (ISIG) Burkina Faso.

Sylvester Obeng-Nyame

Mr Obeng-Nyame has 15 years’ experience in the mining industry and has worked for major mining companies including Gold Fields exploration West Africa Ltd, Redback Mining Inc, and Burey Gold Ghana ltd. More recently he was the Project Manager for Vimetco Ghana (Bauxite) Limited.

He has been involved in various greenfield and brownfields exploration projects in several parts of West Africa and Mauritania and has been involved in exploring for several commodities including Gold, Iron ore, Bauxite and Uranium. He has been involved in every aspect of the mineral exploration cycle from exploration geologist to senior geologist and Project manager. He has also worked on feasibility projects including the Mansounia (Kineiro) project - Guinea, Essakane main zone project - Burkina Faso and Mampehia project – Ghana of Goldfields exploration West Africa ltd. He also worked on the Akwaaba underground feasibility project – Chirano of Redback mining Inc.

He has negotiated, managed and co-ordinated mineral exploration projects in Ghana, Guinea, Burkina Faso and Mauritania.

Mr Obeng-Nyame is currently enrolled in modular master’s degree in Mineral Exploration from the University of Mines and Technology – Ghana. He is Member of the Ghana Institute of Geoscientists.

Anita Djandoh

Anita Djandoh is an environmental and development professional with about 11 years’ experience working in project management, sustainability and community development. She has worked for major international organisations including Ricerca e Cooperazione, United Nations Development Programme, Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP).

Anita has a proven competency in project planning and management, conflict analysis and management techniques, energy and environmental auditing, public policy analysis and basic skills in spatial analysis using Arc GIS software.

Anita holds Master of Professional studies (MPS) degree in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York, College Of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse – USA and has an Advanced Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Administration, Syracuse University in the USA.

She is a Member of the Ghana Institute of Planners and has been a Fellow of the Ford Foundation, International Fellowships Program, since 2009.

Isaac Yimonkpa Mabee

Senior Technical Consultant – Mineral Exploration

Isaac Mabee is a geological engineer with 16 years experience in mineral exploration and project management.

Isaac has worked for most parts within the Goldfields group as a mineral exploration geologist rising in line management to senior exploration geologist. He has been involved in various exploration processes within the goldfields group with goldfields exploration (GYATA) in Ghana, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali and the goldfields Kissenge project in DR Congo; was part of the Gyata exploration discovery at Mampehia on the Bibiani belt. His more recent roles had included senior exploration geologist at Burey gold ltd where he was involved with interpretation and resource drilling on their three Guinea projects.

He has a postgraduate certificate in Applied Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Derby – UK, and completed his undergraduate studies from the University of Mines and technology (UMaT) in Ghana where he graduated with a diploma in geological engineering.

Yvonne Marfoa Anokwa

Senior Technical Consultant – GIS and Data Management

Yvonne is a senior GIS specialist with 12 years experience in relating to compilation of geographic data from a variety of sources including census, field data, satellite imagery, aerial photographs and existing maps to prepare, develop and seeing through to construction accurate thematic maps and specifications to aid in decision making. Yvonne has also completed several conceptual plans as well as conducting spatial analysis of field data for geological interpretation and geographic statistics.

Yvonne has an MSc in geo-information science and earth observation from ITC, university of Twente in the Netherlands. She also has diploma in systems administration from GIMPA, postgraduate diploma in application of GIS in local agenda 21 processes from the University of Applied Sciences TFH in Berlin, Germany. Yvonne completed a diploma in geological engineering undergraduate studies at the University of Mines and technology, UMaT, Tarkwa – Ghana.
